Service Description

Cheshire Art Classes are offering an introduction to abstraction. This session focuses on a huge array of artists who have devoted their lives to abstraction. Focusing on process, quality of paint and filtering out characteristics in imagery to build new imagery not completely related to reality. We will learn how to abstract imagery through a range of processes and learn how to achieve a range of qualities in paint. We will use mediums to alter our paint and play with layering processes to create depth and focus in our paintings. Everyone in the class will complete their own 10"x12" painting study from a series of quick drawings and studies completed as a group. Canvases and materials are included in the session fee. Max of 8 participants per session.
