Service Description
Cheshire Art Classes are introducing plein-air painting in the Cheshire countryside. This session focuses on observing the natural landscape - building our colour palette from direct observations - sketching with paint in order to create compositions and playing with wet-on-wet techniques. The freedom of being in the landscape whilst painting means we have no predetermined outcomes. We will learn how to draw and simplify the landscape into geometric shapes, exploring the imagery through a range of mark-making. We will explore using a ground to compliment the painting with layers of paint to create depth and blur suggestive marks into pictorial imagery. Everyone in the class will complete their own 16"x16" painting study. Canvases and materials are included in the session fee. Max of 6 participants per session.
